Born in Cordoba Argentina, I have lived in the USA for over 45 years. Soon after graduating from college in Argentina with an Early Education degree and a major in English, I got married and we moved to the USA where I began to create my own kindergarten giving birth to five children. Now I have 19 grandchildren who continue to give me the kindergarten setting that I love.

My sculptures signed as Estela Monjo are on display at Shalem Institute, Washington DC and in private collections in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Michigan, Oregon, Louisiana, California, Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Virginia, Utah, Alberta Canada and Argentina.

My sculpture portfolio is displayed virtually at www.galeriamariposa.net which offers pieces for collectors of fine art. A private sculpting studio is in Saint Clair Shores, MI.  Windrise Estate in Metamora MI is the setting for a permanent collection of my indoor and garden piece sculptures.

In addition to my art, I am the founder of Windrise Retreat Center in Metamora MI where over the past 25 years I hosted retreats in an ecumenical setting with my husband Greg. A lover of nature, I create flower gardens, enjoy cooking, and reading spiritual and non-fiction books.

My art and sculpture education were through private lessons and mentoring from a local sculptor, and I attended the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit. My postgraduate education was at the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation in Washington D.C.  where I earned degrees in Spiritual Direction, and Contemplative Prayer Groups Formation.
